I believe in the one a$$ to kick philosophy. Meaning I buy new tires and have them balanced and mounted from a known place so if there is an issue, I can kick their a$$. I buy from a local, independent dealer who have been in business for years. If no local dealer I would consider a major name place like Costco, NTB, etc.
I would never buy from an Internet dealer and use someone local to balance and mount. Talk about finger pointing if an issue.
My prior car had a tire pressure display and the warning light came on. I took it to the local dealer who I had bought the tires from. Just gave them my name and they asked which vehicle (I had two). They said about a 1/2 hour wait. I said fine. 20 minutes later they said you are good to go. We added air and checked the pressure in all tires. I asked the cost. They said none. I recommend them to all my friends.
This is the type service I am willing to pay for.
