We pay health insurance premiums to cover for expenses in case of illness.

However can we file a car insurance claim only in case of accidents. Is this how it is or is there a way car insurnance covers your repairs not caused by accidents?? Say I perform a 90k service and can I file a claim??

Do you expect to be able to file a claim with your health insurance company because you maintain your health?

To maintain our health we take medicines and perform preventive and diagnostic screenings. Insurance pays for it.

Just asking and making sure I wasnt missing out on anything.

Well, you can get aftermarket repair (aka extended warranty) plans , but they normally only cover major failures, not oil changes or normal wear & tear items like batteries, brakes, tires, etc

Insurance is for repairs after an accident maintenance is on you. Do you try to get your home owners insurance to pay for a paint job fort your house because it’s starting to fade and peel of course not insurance is just that insurance in case something happens.

Thanks . I understand about the factory warranty + extended warranty and understand about regular maintenance. But just checking about major repairs , without an extended warranty. Its clear now.
