My first car was a 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass supreme, 2 door, 350 rocket. It was turd brown. But I loved, and miss that car. When it died I went to a 1977 Honda Civic, what a shock that was. I went from a luxury 4000+ pound car to a 1700 pound midget mobile!!!
Gas was 85 cents then though, I filled up for $8 in the Honda!!!! $14 in the Olds.... From empty!
My favorite car was my 1980 VW Scirocco S. That little car handled so nice... But my 89' Saab 900S outhandles any car I owned, and I thought my 98' Maxima handled good...
First car was a 1979 Mustang. Charcoal gray with a bright red interior (dash and all). First year they came out with the new style after the disastrous Mustang II.
Toss up on favorite car, my Mustang or my 1988 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon (which I still have). I know, quite different vehicles but special in their own ways.
My first car was a 1987 VW Rabbit with issues, but I still adored it for it was MY first car.
My favorite car is my present car. I drive a 2008 Honda Civic SI Sedan(hubby has one too). This is the first car I owned that has everything, no basic model this time around. It only comes in manual(6 speed)which is huge because stick is all we drive and not having to "find" one was great. This car is awesome. It's got fantastic power and was great in the snow(had enough snow to know this..lol). I wouldn't trade it for anything. Now if it could warm up so I could use the sunroof(something I've never had)that would be great!
We got a great deal. Those that are interested in a brand new car, do it through the internet. My husband emailed several Honda dealers in our state and surrounding states that were drivable to. Forturnely we hit the jackpot with a dealer within 80 miles of us. He was very nice. As soon as my husband sold his car, he called the man and they were ordered, yes, they weren't even out yet. I had 3 miles on my car and hubby had 4. We did all are dealings through the internet after the first call to order them, which we did over the phone to make sure the colors and everything was right. The salesman kept us up to date on where they were progress wise when he knew something. My husband's came in one day after mine and we were able to go on a Saturday(hubby's b-day)and get them. We also got it for $1000 dollars lower then the MSRP. This car on a lot of sites is actually priced over the MSRP. So we were happy with his quote. It was really nice to not have to haggle. Best car buying experience we ever had, even picking them up and having another man go over everything with us was wonderful. Love this car!
My first car was a VW variant 1500 brought over from Germany, I think one of 5 or there abouts in the US at the time, my favorite was a Triumph TR7 that I had fitted with a Boss 302, it took quite a bit of work on the suspension and changing out the transmission with a 5 speed and the body went through fender well cosmetics but it was more fun to drive than my friends TVR when they got done with it...Great fair weather can but not something you would want on a wet road.
