Default Behold: The Most Expensive Car in History

Folks of ordinary income can't afford to own a Bugatti, but even some millionaires would not be able to own this Bugatti. The French automaker unveiled "La Voiture Noire" on Tuesday, and at $12.5 million, it has the distinction of being the most expensive new car in history, reports Fortune.

That's not a millionaire car. That's a multi-billionaire car. Tires $40k each? Wheels $35k each? $10k oil changes? And only a Bugatti factory mechanic can touch it while under warranty? $1500/mile depreciation on top of that? Nope.

It's $18.9m and it's not for sale, it's going to the prior VW CEO as he was instrumental in acquiring Bugatti a few years ago.

Hmm I thought the rare Ferrari’s usually go for $25M+ in private sales?

Herr Piech is reported to be the buyer.
Somehow he escaped any repercussions from the VW diesel scandal.
Just about every direct report got entangled in the thing, yet he knew nothing? C'mon...
