I pulled a trailer from San Mateo to Omaha one time and vowed I would never, ever do it again. Granted, you have a better vehicle than I had, but it is still a burden....in many ways. A burden sufficient to add a full day to your trip. And lots of stress and anxiety. I was convinced it had been a mistake before we got to Reno.

If I had an Escalade, I'd weed until I got my load down to what I could fit inside.

Dang! I drove trucks for enough years to put 750,000 miles on one of them and y'all have got it so complicated that I'D be scared to try.
Make friends with all the dudes down at UHaul. Make sure they understand that you are a little nervous and they'll take care of you.
Hook up and go.
It'll be fun.

I'll be a lot more fun without the trailer.

What was the problem with towing a trailer? Granted a 95 Crown Vic isn't the best tow rig... but you could do a lot worse.

Back in 2000 I towed a heavily loaded mid-sized U-haul trailer half way across the country with my 1985 Chevy Caprice. All 150 horsepower. Acceleration was nothing to brag about... and I topped some of the big hills in second gear. But it was pretty uneventful.

Ours said 55. We got up to 65, but chose not to go faster even when 75 speed limit. Happy to stay in slow lane, when there was one, and no issues on 1000 mile trip.
