Nope. I already stayed away from Nissan. Driving a few of them just validated my decision.
Yes. I recently spent a day in a new Sentra. It was a valuable lesson on what to not buy. OTOH, exactly two decades ago we spent a few weeks with a Dodge Intrepid. The wife liked it, I was less than impressed. We then stopped at the largest Dodge dealer in the east, and discovered that they had dozens of year old leftovers, for 15% under invoice. We bought one and drove it for ten years. I sold it to our car repair shop owner, who used it as a daily loaner for about five years and another five for family use. It still ran well after 20 years and 300k + miles. I know that it was a freak thing, an outlier, and that most knowledgable mechanics hated Intrepids, but if I found the exact car as a "time capsule" in near new condition, I would buy it tomorrow.
Yes, but mostly what not to buy. I once wrote about a terrible rental experience to Nissan.
I forget which model it was, but it was a compact 4 door that was not worthy of selling in my opinion. The entire vehicle reeked of poor quality.
Maybe the Sentra. Had it as a recent rental and not happy with it. The transmission moaned and howled like dying Sea Lion with a dry throat.
Yes. Decided after getting a ticket in an Expediton, I wont get one. Just the slightest push on the gas pedal and I was at 85 from 75, at the time a trooper was sitting in the median.

The last couple times I've rented, I didn't get anything great- A Nissan Rouge that felt slow, a terrbile Jeep Compass, a Buick sedan thing and a couple things locally-nothing memorial to make me go to the showrroom to check out for a new ride for myself.
Yes, all Nissan vehicles I will never consider to buy after driving a 2016 Altima for 5 months with Uber which was a cheap noisy, rough riding car. But it did great on gas.
Even a 2018 Nissan Sentra my friend rented while his car was in the shop was a really cheap rinky dink of a car. Just the worst plastics and fit and finish.
I loved a Chrysler 300 I rented a few years ago, I just didn’t like the cheap feeling and looking interior. The dashboard and door panels felt really low grade. But the car rode so smooth and was powerful to drive.
We have to rent a couple of cars next month. I am not looking forward to it. At one time, it was a fun thing to do, to drive around in a car much nicer than one we owned. But we own really nice cars now, and we'd have to shell out for a luxury rental to get close. Even still, there is only one time we were impressed with a US car rental. I *think* it was a Lincoln MKZ. It was a really nice ride.
Now, in Europe on the other hand...my spouse is there often. His rentals are either a BMW, Audi, Volvo or Jaguar. Much more fun than the typical US car rental.
Seems like every car I rent I end up disliking. Latest was a POS Mercedes CLA 250 but there have been many before, some of which stick out in mind include sluggish Mustangs, rattletrap Eclipses, a Charger that felt enormous, dimestore Nissans with their garbage CVTs, an Intrepid that felt like it was hydroplaning even in dry conditions and a Corolla that felt as cheap as the day is long. Only one I can recall actually liking was a Cadillac CTS.
