Default Who else loves Discount Tire?

I do.

I've been making my tire purchases from Discount for over 20 years now and I've always been pleased with their prices and service.

I like Discount Tire. I bought my last set of tires from them 2 years ago. The previous set was from Sam's Club.

Aside from tire purchases, the most common reason I've had to go to a tire shop is repairing tires when there are nails or screws in the tire. Discount is easier to deal with in that occasion than Sam's so therefore I'd rather deal with Discount for the actual high dollar value tire purchase and let them service tires in emergencies in between than deal with someone else.

I like Discount Tire, but I have two complaints. One, you make an appointment to get four new tires mounted, but they often let walk-ins ahead of you. Consequently, what should take 30 to 45 minutes, winds up being 2 to 2.5 hours. Problem solved by going to another branch (we have several in our city). Two, always trying to sell the tire hazard package. I kept saying no, they kept lowering the price as a challenge. When it got down to $1 per tire, I said yes. A win-win for all.

DT is my go to place for tires. Though occasionally I can get better deals at Walmart or Sam's Club.

No reflection on any other chain but locally my friends and I use NTB - National Tire and Battery. On a trip to FL, I had a tire issue and used Tire Kingdom in St Augustine FL. Fine people. Treated me right.

I retract my previous statement about loving Discount Tire. I was running some errands yesterday and my truck tire was pretty flat so I swung over there told the kid just the front drivers tire. He told me that there was an incident with a tire exploding that had to low of tread and that he wasn't allowed to fill my tire because of that.

I love our local dealership. They are courteous, reasonably fast, and their prices are good.

They have a limited brand and tire size selection and sell off brand korean made tires . I went to get a new tire to replace a blowout on a continental tire, I took them 3 days to get me a tire,,I went another time to replace the tires on my van only to be told "we dont have that size but can substitute another size that will work..I wanted the same size.......They also will run up your bill by charging too much extra for mounting, air stems, balancing, etc etc

I strictly use DT because they've always had better prices and quick service. I also like that the only balancer they use is the Hunter road force balancer. Tires are smooth as silk on the road with that machine.

In the past, any time they didn't have the tire I wanted, the tires were here by 8am the next morning.
