I have been car shopping for a couple of week now and super annoyed at the games dealers play to get you to call, text, or visit the dealer. Car sold weeks ago still there for sale. Always the same type of answer, my internet guy was on vacation. Its no wonder shopping for a car is a game of who trust each other the least to say " f" off.

Hit prohibited few times, it will go away. May take a day or 2, or several page refreshes, but it works.

Also, if you freak out over this, maybe don't shop on c list. It's its nature. Scams and unscrupulous sellers.

How is it a game? What if they truly did sell and they didn't take down the listing because the person who normally does it isn't there?
If the car isn't there, it isn't there.

You can also sort by newest date.

If the car I want isn't there, I don't visit. The dealer didn't win, so...

Been buying and selling on CL since at least 2007. It's not rocket science.

CL isn't exactly the ideal buying platform due to it's cost........FREE!

Pretty sure when hometown lexus dealer sells a car it is gone off their site that day.

Cl is not free anymore to list a vehicle.

And yes, many dealers do not remove the sold cars on purpose, so they can get new leads info.
For many shady places it is numbers game, more leads, more chance of selling!

Went to a Chevy dealer to look at a couple of used Chevy Sparks.

Spark #

1. Was just traded in with pet hairs and smell and clearly evident as you walk open the door. I am not going to odor myself this way by sitting in it.

2. The Spark was in such beat up shape inside the dealer was going to wholesale it according to the saleperson.

I asked why are cars put on the website but not ready to be even presentable the response was
A. We post cars as soon as we get a trade in
B. Customers can buy whatever as long as the price is right.

Here is the website , if you are in the Seattle area avoid this place.

Bait and switch isn't limited to Craigslist advertising.
