There’s only so much market and there’s not enough to go around.
I do agree with the Model S. Definitely cannabilized by Model 3. Many people previously just wanted an EV sedan, Model S was all there really was. But you can get a lot of the perceived benefits from the Model 3 as Model S for like half the price. I don't think that portends to limited demand and medium and lower price ranges vs what can be supplied. But I'm willing to change my mind over time.

This is the truth in summary.

Government mandates and incentives to push a newer technology will never solve the underlying problem. Until a change is made in the mindset that pushes us to stop replacing everything in our disposable lifestyle - there will not be real change toward true sustainability. Everything else is smoke and mirrors.

Either my computer didn't render your sarcasm font, or you did a REALLY bad job of reading this article.

Even at the greater reliability than ICE, and 80% capability, there's not much adoption. Simply because the remaining 20% and lack of education holds people back.

Only when the Gov't figures out how to tax the crap out of owning an EV.

Speaking of education, they aren’t reliable at all. Tesla is ranked as one of the most unreliable vehicles manufacturers. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usa...amp/1748024002

Do you live in the boonies?
Do you live in a location that is tough to access in the winter (ice, snow?)
Do you haul cargo / horse trailers ?
Have you used an EV in demanding conditions? (freezing, steep, slippery, and DEEP)

I wish I could count the number of times I have had to assist a 'state worker' in a mandated EV, working in an environment / condition not suited for EV use.

I will stick with FREE fuel and a 'push vehicle to start' (as I have for 40+ yrs)
At least I can get the Ev's off the road when they can't hack it.

Go pull up your Tesla app, and plan a trip pulling a 9000 lb trailer from....oh wait you can’t because no EV can pull 9000 lbs.
Nevermind. I guess we aren’t there yet.
