That would be my current 2017 F150. Sticker was $46,800 but I got it for $36,000. Surprisingly, the second most was 29 years ago, a 1990 Ford Bronco, at $25,000.
I wrote the biggest check to buy the car I currently own. Something around $18K. However, I bought it over 20 years ago and everything runs fine, so looking at it that way it wasn't expensive.
If we are going to measure by currency (dollar, pound, etc.) the price needs to be adjusted. My recent Camaro convertible cost me $50K and the amount bothered the spouse until I pointed out the S2000 I was replacing cost $34K in 1999 was the same amount... so I got more car for the same amount.
