I usually want
3/4 ton or 1 ton
4x4
Extend or crew cab
Long bed
AC
Bench front seating
Power windows and locks
Bluetooth (only because it’s needed to make calls)
Prefer manual trans but those are practically impossible to get anymore.
I don’t want a black or dark color truck cause any dirt scratch or dent shows. White shows best and hides a lot

I have kinda painted myself into a corner here...

Must have:
An engine
Manual transmission. I absolutely love the dance of the feet, trying each and every time to perfect your shifts.

Must NOT have:
HID headlights. I hate those bloody annoying things, and I refuse to be “that guy” who inflicts them on others
Infotainment/control interface touch screens. If I can’t find and manipulate it fully by tactility (haptics aren’t good enough), it’s a distraction, and annoying to boot.
Driver “assist” (annoyance) features such as radar cruise and land departure warning. My big rig has these, and they are freaking miserable.

Tiebreakers:
Manual locks and windows. I’m not against having them powered, but I prefer the simplicity and less long-term cost.

So my current Lexus is fully loaded. Half with stuff I don't even use.

My next car I'm going hybrid. The only things I'm requiring is Bluetooth, backup camera with crosstraffic sensors, blind spot warning, sunroof, heated seats and heated steering wheel. I should find that on a 30k vehicle
