True. My kids live in the San Fran Bay area. Out there, Teslas are like Corollas. They are everywhere.

Well, if you’re considering EVs then you should look at the longer range ones with higher fast charging capabilities.

Big salaries, big gas prices, big commutes, little cold, little snow.

How much do you drive per day that you can't get that from your wall socket overnight? When the car is fully charged every morning when you wake up, you don't need to "wait around for it." You have 5 seconds when you get home to plug it in before you go inside for the evening? That's all it takes.

What does 16-18 million have to do with anything? There aren’t that many cars sold in the US annually. There were only 360k Evs sold last year

The numbers are:
The number of passenger cars sold in the U.S. stood at a little over 5.3 million units in 2018. Total car and light truck sales were 17.2 million in the United States and around 78.6 million units worldwide in 2018.

I have a Tesla 3 and think it's the best car for under $150K period, but was weary of buying it because Elon Musk is nuts and I wasn't sure about service... (has been no problem, so far).
Prius Prime doesn’t seem to drive the same sales as a standard Prius. Volt got canceled. Pacifica hybrid is the rarest minivan. It just seems like the forecasted market and the actual market just don’t match up.
The only popular EV seems to be Model 3 and that honestly is probably more about autopilot and self parking gimmicks than it’s EV drivetrain.

Gotcha. It’s hard to compare total light truck sales since the EV market isn’t there and the EV suvs are still on the front end of their curve

Main barriers are actually selling vehicles with enough range than aren't prohitiviely expensive.

Survey simply shows that demand will outstrip supply (of decent EVs at least) for the next few years. No reason to think that won't keep going.
They are selling more largely because me and my neighbors are directly helping people to pay for their EVs..........just saying....

You and your neighbors are also paying for people to have houses, and home businesses, and children, too. Just sayin. Tax credits are tax credits.
