Back in 1995 the base models were more available. But even then it was changing. Hell I remember when rear bumpers were optional. I remember going to get as few service trucks at a GMC dealer that advertised cab and chassis trucks for 24k OTD. SOBs were trying to get me to buy extended cab long bed SLTs when I wanted single cab 3500 chassis truck.

I parked next to a new Ford Town and Country today. That thing was as big as a dump truck a few years ago.
