Dont worry John, one of our local news stations in the upstate had a bookface post about how the virus could cause a gas shortage, so the nuts will be hoarding gas now.
I think the gas companies would LOVE for us to hoard it and drive up demand. LOL But it would be pointless to hoard gasoline. The shelf life is just 3 to 6 months...so...fill up your gasoline powered things...and that's all you can do. Maybe buy another gas can, and keep it in the garage...but there's no point in having a whole lot, unless you have a whole lot of gasoline powered toys.

Actually this might be a good time to "stock up" on gasoline, if you have some containers. In a few weeks, the winter-blend gasoline will come off the market and the summer-blend gasoline will be higher. How much higher? Maybe 50 or 70 cents/gallon. Not enough to make it worth spending money to buy containers -- but if you already have them?
