Plants are shut down because of fast rising inventories. No one is buying new cars now. Well, even in the Great Depression SOME did buy new cars. But the vast majority did not.

And people are not buying cars now. With few exceptions. Some folks have recession proof jobs.

one of our neighbors bought a new cadillac this week. now, in her defense, she just married a trust fund baby a few months ago and has no clue about the economic or health situation that is going on. we just today, cancelled a new order we recently had in the pipeline for our business.
