Those people don't "have" a loud car. They make their car loud. Often low lives that are so excited that they now have a car (usually a junk), so everyone can hear their sudden life improvement lol
I think people who enjoy their loud cars should do it somewhere in solitude and don't expose others to the noise. Most other people don't enjoy it. So, it's very selfish and inconsiderate.
Mine is only loud when i go WOT. But it sounds nice just driving. It is not like a fart can on a Honda that sounds like total crap.
I dislike traffic noise, but particularly noise from loud cars. Loud engines, to me, are very unpleasant sounds.
If you have a loud car and drive it in a city: why? Are the people who have to listen to your loud car a concern of yours?
Thanks.

Mine as well toss a pack of firecrackers on my lawn every time they drive by.
Every municipality has an ordinance against this juvenile and inconsiderate behavior, but it's never enforced.

People like you think EVERYTHING fun and enjoyable means that. Sports cars mean small "tallywackers," as do trucks, or loud cars or modified cars or expensive cars, or... Never ever crosses your mind that people might simply enjoy something for the sake of enjoying it. No, you just want to be as insulting as possible.
This is my car I was describing in my post on the first page:
Was fun in tunnels or in the city with the exhaust echoing, or just rumbling at a stoplight or in the driveway. Same with my Mustang with the Pypes axle back exhaust system, or my BMW 7 series with it's high performance exhaust.
Location: Formerly Pleasanton Ca, now in Marietta Ga

But being a car nut doesn't mean you have to like or want a loud exhaust. I like nice exhaust note which doesn't mean it doesn't to be loud For example I always liked the stock v6 note for the g35s
Well, you know, if a person doesn't have any actual personal achievements, buying something that makes a lot of noise can maybe provide some of the same feelings, without the necessity of doing anything other than writing checks. Spending money doesn't take much skill or effort.

I'm thinking back as to why I owned a 72' Challenger with numerous modifications.
Ran so hot the hood paint cracked.
It was b/c I wanted a drag race car at age 18, and it got me the wrong attention; in the form of tickets.
But I loved tinkering w/it, which I still do to this day on a different car.
It doesn't have to be loud, to go fast.
