Andy Wilman, the producer of the second iteration of Top Gear and The Grand Tour, knows surprisingly little about cars. He should be one of the presenters. That would be hilarious.
Not surprising. When I was out of college I worked in sales for a dealer for about 8 months. I am pretty knowledgeable about cars and the competitors of the brand we were selling. Turns out having the knowledge gets you little as the hustlers and those out for a buck edged out. It didn't help my taste of how a dealership functions.
He knows a heck of a lot about producing a successful television show though.
Is Top Gear still on? Only reason I watched it was because of the three. I now only follow the Grand Tour. On YouTube they did one similar recently and it was great, I hope they make it a series. Tavarish, Vinwiki, and Hoovie.
BBC still has a show called Top Gear, with a frequently changing cast lineup that's never been as successful as the original three. Then of course there's the US Top Gear imitation show.
They have a youtube channel and it’s unwatchable for any content not including CH... Even he is becoming tiresome when he talks and not just driving.

That was/is a pathetic show. I watched Top Gear because it was lively and creative, and they were car guys. It wasn't great, but how many carnut shows are on nowadays?
