Fair enough. I've had the same issue.

Well guess what they got their wish because bench seats fell out of favor because bucket seats were the new hot sellers. So can’t blame the automakers they built what the American people wanted. They are not going to keep a few vehicles with bench seats just to please the few who like them. It’s like a sedan the American automakers are not going to just keep making them to please the handful of buyers who want them.

True, but the European and Asian automakers do and happily take the money of those of us who still buy sedans (and wagons too).

As long as the seats are roomy and comfortable, I love a big console to lean on and be able to store stuff.

This sums up husband's problem with many vehicles as well.

Unit731, I agree 100% if you have a 60/40 seat. I hate those. Nobody sits in the middle any more.
So you have this blankity-blank thing in the middle. It makes your expensive pickup seem like a cheap cargo van with the 'hood' in the cab. I've been searching for a good used pickup but there is no way I'm getting another 60/40 seat with that giant plastic shoe box in the middle!

I liked the old days when my girlfriend could sit next to me with my arm around her shoulders. She shifted gears for me so I didn't have to move my arm. Bucket seats were for jet fighters and sports cars.

I need the room in the console for storage and cup holder space. I would not buy a vehicle without one.
