Apparently the driver of the Hellcat was leaving a "Cars & Coffee" meet, and decided to show off his skills. He's only doing about 40mph when he loses control of his car. It's a good thing he didn't kill someone who was in something less than a pickup truck - just dumb luck. There are two videos of the mayhem, one filmed from where he enters the street and the other filmed from where he meets the truck. Smooooooth.

You can see the good people who ran and helped, not the people who stood around and filmed.
Yeah, I did notice that - some are really concerned about those in the accident, and others are just calmly videoing the scene for social media. Fortunately, the article said only minor injuries resulted.
I've driven a modified Hellcat with 965hp before and not lost control of it.
That level of power needs to be respected and that idiot shouldn't have turned off the traction control!
I can't tell for sure, but I have the impression that even when he gets the rear end swinging out so the car's pointing at the truck, he never lets off the gas or hits the brakes - it seems like he just powers right into the truck!

Many car meets have been cancelled disappointing 1000’s of enthusiasts because of one jackass. No respect for others, just a selfish person. I hope he gets charged with other charges and for sure he’s going to get sued. I don’t get this stuff. I have had many very fast cars and I never burn rubber or even rev out of respect for others that may not Appreciate performance cars.
IIRC, I read on another site that the idiot in the Hellcat was "racing" the other idiot in the purple Chevy compact, and neither of them realized the Silverado was there, until it was too late.....
The only thing freak about it was that it wasn't a mustang.
And it wasn't an accident.
