That doesn't seem to add up....if you're driving 80% in EV mode of a PHEV, then surely a Tesla would handle multiple times more without charging up. I mean my PHEV, X5 45e can only do 30 miles in EV mode and my Telsa will go over 220 miles minimally charged up.
Personally, I haven't charged up my Tesla anywhere but my garage in well over a year as we use the X5 for long journeys.
There's no need to ask how these things add up--it's unlikely that he has any idea what he's talking about because he says some really goofy things about EVs that are pretty good indicators he either is lying or is so incompetent in learning how to operate the vehicle that it's not worth arguing with him.
The Lucid Air series is awesome, but it's not an Everyman car - it's a big luxury sedan and priced like big Audi and Mercedes sedans. While the max power available is ridiculous, there are options from 480-1200HP, so you can get more sane power levels too.
