I drive a 2020 Dodge Charger ScatPack.

I am not sure what they were trying to take. I am not sure if it was a failed car theft. All I know is that the screen in the front of the car on top of the transmission where my GPS and apps are cannot turn on. The car sounds perfectly fine and can drive. I noticed the latch next to the transmission that used to put the car in neutral was also exposed.

Anyone have this experience??

It sounds like they were trying to take the console out by cutting the wires out. That's an expensive item, the console which is the screen that displays apps etc is usually worth a few hundred on the market but cost over thousands by the dealer. Hope you have insurance and it is a claim. These consoles can be a pain to remove and some cannot be replaced without the dealer program it to match the VIN.

oh yea I am covered with a $1,000 deductible. Personally, I feel like it was a failed attempt to steal my car but now that you brought this up it could be a stolen item as well. Thanks for the feedback.

It's vandalism. It's covered by Comprehensive. It's likely going to take a lot more than $1000 to rewire and make sure everything works.

Make a police report and call you insurance claims department.

Did you leave your door unlocked? Where was the car parked when you discovered the damage?
