The weight of most EVs tends to higher than ice cars because of the battery packs. A Hummer battery pack weighs as much as Toyota Corolla. Some safety test results not promising.

I remember when suvs and mini vans became a thing their insurance went up because if they hit someone else the damage would be greater. The heavier EVs also means more wear on roads than lighter vehicles.

They certainly do damage roads, bridges and other infrastructure.

no one will be driving them in significant numbers anyway as once restrictions and taxes get legislated on EV’s (after all ice vehicles are sold for scrap),it will render the common man/woman/they unable to afford the privilege of private transportation

When an EV hits something, they take it out.
The Hummer EV is close to 10,000 lbs.
Battery packs for these bigger vehicles come in at about 3000lbs just for the battery packs.

Now put those babies into motion and then hit something head on at 70mph

Yes, and in fact because of their weight they require more substantial tires, and they wear out much faster. They also cause more pollution from tire dust.

So let's set a maximum curb weight for passenger vehicles at 3,000lbs? That would do more for safety and the environment.

Haha, I remember weight being a talking point for those Democrats who used to rail against SUVs, but now that these Democrat-approved EVs are generally heavy because of batteries, weight is no longer an issue. They’ve now moved on to criticizing height of SUVs instead.

PS: You’re not allowed to question EVs AT ALL, since they are part of the cult-like religion of Climate Change.

The only electric vehicles I'm actually quite fond of are e-bikes.
They're fantastic and they make perfect sense if you live in an urban area with good bicycle infrastructure.
The only big problem are thieves and vandals who destroy bike sharing bicycles or steal them. (this is mainly the result of liberal cities that refuse to punish criminals)

The battery packs for larger vehicles are still too heavy and inefficient to justify their use, imho.
