I knew when it cost $50 to fill up a Honda that something was really wrong.

Just went over $60 in my honda accord. A first for me. So that puts me at about 250 a month. There were times I made that in a week!

Just curious, why is it awful???

Chrysler also builds them in Europe and I have seen a lot of them over there...

I tried to put EXACTLY $20.00 in my car yesterday but I couldn't do it, every time I pulled on the nozzle handle the price jumped 6 cents ....yes, it was an older pump!

Easy fix for that one shipm8, pre-pay the cashier, they set the pump, and it stops on the amount. A lot of self serves, are going to pre-pay, to prevent drive offs.....that's rampant around here.....gas up and run like hell! So, the stores, are installing license plate cams, to photograph all the cars. That way they stand a better chance of catching the ones who drive off.

I think it is one of the really old Mechanical Pumps that isn't connected or computer controlled... You can pre-pay but someone still has to stop the pump when the amount is reached.

I still know of a few out in the back country in Northern CA...
