As Steve asked: what kind of vehicle did it come out of?

If unknown; how many cylinders, straight six, V8, four banger, etc. ?

You have a Gen III or later Chevy V8; they came out in 1997 in the Camaro/Firebird/Corvette and the GMT800 (Silverado) pickups received that engine family starting 1999.
