I do think the new name is pretty lame, but who cares, they just put on a 3rd shift here in Lordstown to keep up with demand for the Cobalt. I'm just happy GM transfered and hired 1400 new people out there. Any new jobs in Northeast Ohio are a blessing at this point.

I've forgotten more about cars than you will ever know, so don't try to impress me with your knowledge, it just doesn't stack up to one who really knows... I don't get my information and knowledge reading a magazine.

I agree the Ecotec is a good engine, my sister (who is hell on cars) had it in her Sunfire. I still like my power to be naturally aspirated though.

The Cobalt sold great and have proven to be a reliable, affordable car... I see them everywhere. I am sure GM's corporate genius will show through once again in the sales of this new marketing endeavor.

Oh, so youve driven the Cruze, eh? If not, you cannot make a comment, based on your own logic.

I spent over 10 years working for several different dealers and driven more makes/models in one day than most people get to experience in their lifetimes. Ive developed a keen sense of what cars are crap, and what cars arent. Im not blinded by brand loyalty either, unlike some people on here.

Kid, I was in my first garage band over 40 years ago, had a Gretsch "round badge" kit.

I'd rather listen to Scotty Moore and James Burton than the Stray Cats; get it first hand.

Bringing mothers into it eh? Very clever.
