Oh, but the term "Daddy's car" is a rap on you, not your father, I thought you'd understand that. I'm sorry if I insulted your father.

No prob. But what I said about your mother was also in the same context as what you said about my father.

Back on topic, the Cruze looks to be another re-take on the Cobalt, albeit with different styling.

Well, speak for yourself. I like the idea of an engine that can deliver 260 horsepower and still get 30+mpg during highway cruising, as in the Cobalt SS.

That 1.4 is going to become the base engine across the entire GM economy line, both here and in Europe. Expect to also see it in the Saturn Astra and Pontiac G5.

GM offers a Lacetti in Great Britain that has a Chevy badge on it, and it is available as a turbo diesel that gets into the 50 to 60 MPG range
Read today that GM sales are up in Europe. Ya think they would finally figure out that there are US customers that like a European feel to their cars and don't want them "altered" for US. The European Focus is WAY better than what is sold here. There's a reason BMW's and VW's sell here. Bring some autobahn capable cars here instead of numbing them down for the US market.
