I would consider this car if GM were to offer it in the U.S. with the turbodiesel that it is offering in other parts of the world. The current generation Lacetti diesel that is offered in Europe is getting well over 50 MPG, and in some models, even over 60 MPG. That is what would sell this car, in my opinion.

I might consider the Cruze too. It looks beautiful. I hate the new Civic's interior, but Civic have a good reliability and life reputation. - A gm car would get me worried about this!

I Do not know what they all were, but GM had some really awesome looking cars n their display at their headquarters for their 100 year anniversary. They took them out right away so I never got to go look closely at them. Volt was one, but i do not know what the others were. if it included the Cruze, it is really neat. All of the cars in that display were neat. Ofo course now they have a 1867 GTo down there. That is hard to beat.

I didn't even know they had GTOs back in the 19th century!

If it's current 40 mpg EPA hwy it's probably gonna be a 50+ mpg car. Me, my 1999 Civic HX M/T is rated 08 EPA at 38 mpg, but I did 3 500 mile 99% hwy tanks and got 50+ mpg. Best was 51.15 mpg - all at 70 mph.
