The title is a bit misleading.

I'm not asking what you have now...I'm asking what you prefer when you shop for a car. What drives (no pun intended) you to pick one car over another, and what can't you stand about some cars?

Going first. The one car that gives me everything I want in a car, has pics in my profile - Chrysler Sebring Convertible. Great interior, great wheels, great ride, great exterior...

Unfortunately, they always screw up a good thing, which is why I don't and won't own the 2006 Sebring...where they essentially butchered the design.

I also love the exterior of the Chrysler 300, but the interior is absolutely horrid. I can't stand so much squarish, angular console design, it irritates me. Much prefer the more rounded, "softer" design of 2005 and prior for vehicles, and a lot of cars seem to be going that direction.

I prefer Toyotas. Love the 4th Gen 4Runners, wish I could afford one. Also like the RAV4's. Might get one in the near future. Always liked the Camry but don't like the front end of the new one.

I want something that is going to cost me very little money, period. This means in terms of gas, maintenance, and repairs. I have a Hyundai Elantra, and I really like it. I haven't had any problems with it so far, and I like the way it drives, overall. It could use a little bit more power and the gas mileage could be a little bit better, but overall, it's pretty good for my needs.

If I had my wishes or what would I get?

My wishes? '98 Supra with a Titan 3.4l stroker.

What would I get? Scion TC or Toyota Corolla. (Depends on how family minded I was on shopping day.)

First of all; I am a self employed gardener and require a truck. Second; I need enough room for 3 or more passengers. Third; I wanted the safest truck on the market. The Honda Ridgeline fit all of those for me. It's a truck, sits five, has a five star crash test rating for front and side impacts, has standard front, side and curtain airbags, and for a bonus it has a full size trunk in the bed and is 4 wheel drive. At my average of a little more than 6,000 miles a year, I expect this to be my last truck. I have a little more than 18,000 after 3 years of ownership.

I don't like automatics, I don't like FWD, I don't like suspension tuning that makes it feel like I'm driving a sofa, I don't like cars that weigh over 3500 pounds, and I tend to favor turbocharging over larger displacement.

We have always had good experiences with Nissan's.

My wife had a Sentra for years and I still am driving my old NX 2000.

I've always like Maximas and 300zx's made by Nissan. I had an 89 Maxima SE 5-speed which absolutely hauled butt! Now I have a 1991 Nissan Maxima SE 5-speed. I love early 90's Maximas.

I also had a 1988 Nissan 300zx 5-speed loaded. Man I miss that car.

Although there are many cars I admire, I've always been a pickup truck kinda guy. First, and foremost, I like the way I sit in a pickup and love the ease of getting in/out. (I'm a pretty hefty guy; think John Goodman) Granted, I rarely need the haulig capability of a pickup (other than once in a blue moon) I like the way they look. If money and garage space weren't an issue, I'd love to have a new Ford F150 Super Crew. But in all practicality, I'm seriously considering a Honda Element as my next vehicle...

I figure you still wouldn't have the space, but did you consider the Nissan Titan? Are they still making that truck?

I personally can't stand that truck - to me it screams "coming up short in other areas!!!!!" - but if you're a hefty guy, I think it's a good choice.
