It's ok if you drive a bit slower. Today I was traveling U.S. 39/90/94 and I did 63 in the slow lane. I had people flying up on my butt. I was in the slow lane too! I couldn't understand why these people were druving 75 in the slow lane and there was 3 lanes of traffic. I didn't care though. I need to save my gas.
Lets keep making cars that go over 100mph...or even 80mph...and keep the max limits at 80...(most I've seen)...regular is 65 here...people going 70+ including myself.
What are we going to do with all the cars like BMW, Audi and Mercedes that just cruise all day long safely at 70-80 mph.
I know what you mean. Unless I choose to use the cruise control, I have to work to keep my 3 cars ('69 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, '76 Cadillac limo, '95 Lincoln Town Car) from going at a steady 80 mph. They creep up to 80 mph without me realizing it.
I know the feeling...took the 96 Caprice out yesterday...new dual catback...um was at 80 on the 118 before I realized it....stepped heavy on the brakes to get down to 65 because I was about to pass 85 quick...what a difference over the Civic I have, lol.
I used cruise control on the drive I mentioned earlier. I find that our Maximas are so quiet that it never seems like I'm traveling as fast as I am. I have received more speeding tickets in those cars than any other I've owned.
so what are they going to do about the majority of drivers who spend all their time stuck in traffic, which of course is way less efficient than driving 75mph or even 55. politicians, just when you thought they were trying to prove how short sighted they are... well they've always got another suprise
