Call it a desperation move or marketing genius. A Florida car dealer is offering a free energy-efficient car when customers buy a big truck or SUV.
BOGO in the showroom seems to be working. Dealer Jack Holcomb at New Smyrna Chevrolet in New Smyrna Beach said he's generating interest in his previously shunned gas-guzzling inventory.
I also saw where some dealers are giving a motor scooters with some SUV purchases. From what iIhear they may have something as scooters are getting as scarce as motorcycles were in the 70's. Guess the next thing we will see posted is these owners wanting to hang anyone not riding a scooter to work as a traitor.Only in America.
I would do the BOGO here. One car we drive to the city (220 miles), the other we drive to work (3 miles RT).
