Unless you have a GMC Typhoon or a Jeep Cherokee SRT-8, they pretty much are slow moving turds, especially in the corners.

You have obviously never driven a Volvo XC90 - and never driven one on the Autobahn!

And, going through corners in excess of the speed limit is illegal

Low to mid 7 second 0-60 is decent, but not fantastic nor particularly fun. The Porsche Cayman Turbo S is about the only SUV offered right now that truly has sports-car acceleration. Oh, and the SRT-8 Cherokee, too.

Cayman or Cayenne?

The Cayenne (rebadged Touareg) Turbo S is very fast. It's on my "fastest cars I've personally driven" list, along with a Supercharged Mustang Cobra, Mistu 3000GT VR4, and an E55 AMG.

DOH! Yes, Cayenne, not Cayman, those arent turbo. My bad. Thanks for noticing that.

If you really are a pilot, Id expect you to drive something faster and more agile than an SUV. I know Id hate to get out of a fast little airplane, then hop into a Volvo sport ute.

I really am a pilot. I really "drive" the aircraft depicted. And clearly - you have a warped sense of what a person "should" drive.

At the age of 60 - and being that my family enjoys outdoor recreation - and being that we tow RV's and boat's, the comfort and ride and capabilities of the two XC90's and the Expedition suit our lifestyle just fine -

First off, thats cool that youre a pilot, kudos! Secondly, my sense is not "warped", its called an opinion. I just find it odd that a pilot who flies small, agile planes drives a big ol SUV, thats all. It wasnt intended to be an insult, so dont take it that way. Frick!
