This is my son's car and I haven't had a chance to crawl under and look it over yet. The stock air junk is shot so we (me) plan to convert back to conventional componets...such as the Strutmaster kits. Has anyone here done this or know anything about it?... It strikes me as a pretty straight forward wrenching operation. Any caveats ??
Just to get some penetrating oil on the bolts at least several days before you do the work or have a shop do it. With you being in Jersey with salted roads and all. I like PB Blaster and Kroil, Blaster is probably easier to find - Wally World has it.
I have not done this particular swap-over but don't see any particular problems, if the kit is correct for your vehicle it should contain all you need.
I hear yah...and yeah...I bought a gallon of Kroil years ago...best stuff ever !!
and you're correct...the secret to getting any of those products to really work well is to apply them long before you plan on actually doin the work..
