Can insurance actually take a person license away? I heard about a story in which a driver who left a scene to an accident and was counseled by the officer that it was not necessary to report the incident; the person’s license was suspended for a year. Is it true, what happen?
well, i know that another person's insurance company (if you owe them) can make it so you can't register vehicles, can't get tags, and can make it so without SR22 insurance, (insurance you can only get if you already have insurance, as proof that you have insurance) your license is revolked!
i'm in that situation... i paid (late), but i PAID, for an uninsured accident (insurance was lapsed less than a WEEK) and they did all this to me, and now they are saying that it shows i paid, but they did not receive my money so now we have to be on a 3 way call with their lawyer who collects money through the courts to figure out why they didn't receive payments before i can call their OTHER office and arrange all this crazy paperwork to be MAILED to me, so that i can fill it out, mail it back, have them MAIL ME BACK a slip of paper for verification, and then finally send it to the DMV (which is open one day every 2 weeks here) so that i can then jump through whatever hoops they need me to, to get my license reactivated and my cars registration, titles, or whatever else in the world i need.
makes me want to put my head through the wall!!!!!!
