On the news today there was a report of a new car called the IQ, made in Japan, that gets 58 mpg -- just two fewer than a 1990 Metro...

Sorry.... Already posted back in June. But yes, a small car of the 21st century has finally caught up with the econo-boxes of yester-year. But the 90 Geo Metro doesn't have the added safety it needs like today's cars. That's why they weigh so much and get little no.s for MPG.

Yeah a Geo Metro, a 70 horsepower car, that failed crash tests in 1992, can only go to 87 mph, and doesn't even have a tilt/telescope steering wheel. Give me a break.
