1) Crappy lane discipline on limited-access highways (aka left-lane hogs)

2) Dillsmokers who drag-race you when you try to pass them

3) The 3 crackheads who turn left in front of you after the yellow arrow has turned off

Default death stalks the roadways

  • The Y word. No one seems to grasp the concept of YIELD.
  • cell phone usage - drift over yellow line, slows to 50 in a 65
  • speeders and weavers - defeats the safety intent of keeping traffic speed consistent
  • no blinkers or the 'one blink while I turn' drivers...."yes officer I used my blinker, albeit improperly nad of no use to anyone around me"
  • tractor trailers on your butt
  • how cheap life is treated by my fellow drivers

There needs to be a "all of the above" option for this poll. There are several infractions on that list that get my blood boiling, I cant just choose one.

This is actually a form of non-verbal communication, whereas the blinkers now mean, "Pass This Side Now!" I never use them.

What about people that won't get out of the passing lane because they seem to think it's their right to impede the flow of traffic? That's my biggest pet peeve. Was thinking about starting a post about that today. 5 lanes of traffic in one direction coming to work this morning and 5 cars deep they're doing the same freaking speed limit. Can't get around anyone. It just sends me to another planet.

Oh - and the HOV lane. Isn't that kind of prejudice?? I drive 4 hours a day to / from work. What are the chances some other idiot like me lives 2 hours away from their office and has the same hours I do?? So, just because they choose to live in a congested city they get to be in the lane that no one else ever uses?? I have major issues with the HOV lane.

For me it's gotta be the multi-taskers...who think they can drive while talking on the phone, eating, and smoking a cigerette . Or texting! And there are those, who want to read, apply the make-up or shave....even floss and brush their teeth. I am amazed! Then they get mad when you blow the horn because they have drifted over into your lane!

I vote for most of the above, although cell phones and other distractions seem to cause the most headaches on the roads.

No problem with people parking on their lawns -- it's their lawn, and the car isn't moving so it isn't bothering me -- or with people exceeding the speed limit.

People around here hesitate at green lights all the time -- you have to, because there are at least six or seven cars running the red light on the cross street.

None of the above. However:

- People who don't understand that you cannot cross a solid center line for a left-hand turn. Ever. For any reason.

- Idiotic and completely unnecessary U-Turns that hold up everyone else behind them.

- People who don't stop BEFORE the white line, and instead stop on it or even after it. It's there for a good reason.
