The Q/A is PRICELESS.

Q: Great find !! I hope you have the car under 24 hour guard with dogs and shotguns. This thing is so valuable I'm afraid someone might try to steal it. Good for you for letting the auction run to the end. I expect you'll hit a home run with this one. Congrats, John.

It might be very rare, but hell, it's beat up with no motor. I could see if it was cherry, all original with matching numbers.

No wait, 226 grand would still be crazy for a Pontiac!

Once restored, which shouldn't take too much cash, the value will surpass $500k, perhaps more. Look at who was bidding, big automotive companies who know what there doing, not just dummies off the street.... The car is priceless...

Well, I guess I just don't get it....no American car, even a Dusenberg, is worth half a mil to me.

I'm into cars, mind you....I still own a '67 Corvette coupe (427 motor with the factory 3 deuces) that I bought new. I wouldn't trade it for any kind of Tempest!

I agree with you, I wouldn rather have your vette than a Tempest, but the point is, the car is worth that much to someone. I'd love to see it after restoration...
That's why they make different flavors of ice cream, everyone has different tastes, thank goodness....!

No car is worth half a mil technically speaking... I would love to hear what car you think is worth the most. Look at RR... they have the longest history of making the shiniest, most expensive junk on the automotive market.
