Chevy is more reliable, longer lasting, better ride and drive, better resale, more powerful, and just all-around better.
Ford's quality is higher than Chevy, and they last just as long as any Chevy, and more often than not they last longer and take more abuse. I know, Ive worked for Ford and Chevy/GMC dealers and there were more problems with the Chevy's than Fords.

That's a nice fantasy. But sadly, a Chevy is what Ford owners aspire to, and a Ford is what Dodge owners aspire to.
I've seen way more falling-apart Fords than I have Chevy's.
And GM spanks Ford in quality, which, admittedly, is like being Valedictorian of summer school.

Almost all Ford models are now average or better, with the exception of some that are truck-based. Excluding those, Ford's reliability is now on par with good Japanese automakers." Reliability trends, reliability findings
I have owned both. I'd say egine ;ride and steering chevy. Ford body;except for their electric windows.
