I'am thinking of buying a used car that's still under the factory warranty. I'am looking at either a Nissan Sentra or Toyota Corolla that should still be under their powertrain warranty(under 60,000 miles) but I was wondering if that warranty would be transferable to me? Has anyone bought a used car that was still under the factory warranty and was there any problems with a warranty transfer?
Yes, normally they are; they go with the car, not the owner. Though some mfg's will shorten the warranty for the next owner, it's not too common. I don't believe Nissan does that.
