I'm no union buster, but the UAW isn't doing the auto makers any favors. They have been the #1 stumbling block to any of the Big 3 from becoming solvent. In time, something will have to have to change.

By refusing to compromise they played chicken with congress and won.

The problems are much larger than the unions. This is nothing more than an extension for a failing enterprise. No plans on the table to change the direction.

I wouldn't be surprised if closing dealerships was next - there's talk that the Chevy dealership 8 miles from the one I work at will close at the end of the year.

That's too close, they need specialization - too many retailers waters down the line, imo.
