A local publication states rumour GM will reintroduce the "Vega" in 2010. I don't recall the vega. I do remember old malibu and impala before they were brought back.

Anyone else here this??

I can't imagine GM resurecting one of its most infamously crappy vehicles.

The Vega was an early 70's econobox meant to compete with Ford's Pinto. As bad as the Pinto was, it was way ahead of the Vega.

If the rumor turns out to be true, then it removes all doubt as to why GM is on the skids. If their executive staff is making decisions like this, they might as well try selling iceboxes to eskimos.

The Vega was (unfortunately) built from 1971 to 1977.

I don't know why Chevy would bring back a name which usually appears in the top 10 list of "worst cars."

Let's see...a car that would rust before it left the dealer's showroom and be blowing oil before you got home in your drive way. Oh yeah! Sign me up

History tells us that the new model will in no way resemble the original.

Consider the LeMans:
