CTS-V and the G8 are not under $20K. Or are they nowdays??! If I read correctly, he's trying to stay under $20K.

only read the first post. my bad..... in that case, the only ones i can think of would be the previous generation CTS-V (although finding one under $20K might still be hard) and the Lincoln LS.

Good luck with that one.

I started to say a used Grand Prix GTP w/Comp G (technically an automatic but pretty sporty)....and then I remembered it was a FWD.

The G8 would fit the bill on the specs but the price is at least 50% more than you are wanting to spend.

Under 20K you can get a GTO not a 4 door, but lots of bang for your buck, and comfy back seats.

You'd think they would have made a 4dr version of the GTO

I'd definitely go for that one. I think he's got a slightly smaller body car in mind but I'd take a '94-'96 Impala SS any day.

The GTO(Holden Monaro) was based off the parts of the previous generation of Holden Commodores which in turn was a similar platform to the Opel Senator and hence the late 90's Cadillac Catera.

The current Holden Commodore VE is sold here as the Pontiac G8.

The GTO(Monaro) was actually a bargain using the parts and platform of the VT-VX Commodore. It only cost $20 million AUS$ to develop for production.
