Ok. So we have all had those cars we got rid of and years later wished we hadn't.

I'll start off.

My first car was a 1972 Pontiac Ventura II. Kind of like a Nova. My dad and I rebuilt it. It was awesome. I have only saw one other of them to this day. I sold it when I was 16. Doh!

Then about a year later, I saw a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix, with a 400 and 400 turbo trans. Got it for $1,000. It was a poop brown color, but over all great condition. The only thing wrong with it was there was a little bit of rust on the trunk lid. The thing was bad A.

Well my buddy got a Mazda RX-7, and me being a STUPID TEENAGER I had to have one. So I sold my Grand Prix to my brother to buy the Mazda, and have regretted it ever since. My brother trashed the Pontiac in about 6 months. My brother then sold the car to someone else, and they trashed it even further.

I remember driving around in that stupid RX-7, and seeing my trashed Grand Prix driving around and just being so ticked off.

1982 Ford Club Wagon XLT (E250) with the 460 engine. That van was the best vehicle I have ever had. I sold it in 1992 with 160K miles on it and running fantastic. I immediately missed it, since the car we replaced it with, gave me all kinds of trouble over the next 4 years. I have yet to have another car that I like as much as that van. I would have saved thousands of dollars keeping it for a few more years.

1973 Jeep J-4700 Pick-up with the Quadra-Trac dual range Transfer case, Turbo 400 transmission and 360 V-8. Closed knuckle Dana 44 front end and a Dana 60 rear end with the 4.88 gear sets. The old beast would go anyplace I wanted it to, and do so hauling a God-awful amount of cargo in the bed.

I have two: a 1946 Chevy pickup and the 1984 Volvo DL I bought overseas. Got orders to Korea before I could restore the '46. And sold the Volvo before I returned to Germany for my second tour. I brought back a German woman instead of a car from my second tour and that turned out to be an even better deal...

My 1983 Buick LeSabre (307)--I had just put dual flowmasters on it, but money got a little tight so I had to hurry up and sell like the stock market

Probably the 1963 Corvair Spyder, and the 1969 Dodge Coronet R/T that I traded the Corvair in on.
Both/either of them would be great to have.
The Corvair because it was such fun to drive.
The Coronet R/T because it would be such an addition to the retirement funds!

I still wished I had my old 71 Nova. It was a poorly done bondo bucket with a nice cranberry red paint job but I could use all the 4 speed stuff for my 69 Nova. And I could use the 350 too.

I still miss my 1988 Mercury Tracer hatchback. Fun to drive, lotsa room with the rear seat folded down--almost a mini pick-up truck for hauling stuff. The only time it ever broke down, it did it in front of a gas station and I coasted right in...and it was an alternator...good little car...
