In winter, I give my car a good 10 mins, in warm weather, I don't wait much 2-3 mins, at most.

My wait usually involves setting up my MP3 Player and then I drive off (15-30 seconds).

Wasn't this just asked in a recent post? Warming up a car is a relic of the carburated years. It is not necessary with todays fuel injected engine. You are just wasting gas and causing pollution. The engine computer compensates it's fuel and spark curve until it warms up to speed.
Start it and go. Just travel gently for a few miles until the oil gets up to temps.

That's an unnecessary waste of time and gas, and puts wear and tear on your vehicle.

I totally agree. She is doing more harm than good. Some people just never got out of the habits of the carburated engine age.
