I have to say that I was total thionking i would never pay for XM after the threee moths free. But i have to say I really like it how . I don't listen to the talkingheads but enjoyed the great non-commercial choice of toher than current popular music.Heck;I've become quiite a fan of big band music and old radio programs while traveling.

Sirius/xm great. I have had it for a decade because all our local FM channels play way too many commercials. And I am a music lover. They have the best kids channel "xm kidsplace". My kids love it! It would be great if you have a long commute or are in the car for business a lot. I justify the monthly price as I have not purchased CDs much since we got it.

One thing I don't like is that some channels have changed and I don't know why. For example, I used to really like the Sirius Pop2k channel. Now it is still called Pop2k in the car, but all they do is play hip hop and rap. But, if I listen to the Pop2k channel through DirecTV, it hasn't changed.

Pop2k merged with XM Hitlist. They still play a lot of Coldplay, Maroon 5, etc. while blending a lot of Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, etc. I actually like this mix better, it's perfect for parties! -mmccul

That is what I wish it were still like, but Pop2k on Sirius in the car plays all rap now. For example, I just turned to channel 39 in the car and they were playing N.W.A. "F this" and "F that". I came straight into the house and put Pop2k on through DirecTV and they were playing All American Rejects.

That's very interesting. It seems that somehow XM subscribers can still get the old Pop2k but not Sirius subscribers. I would think that they would be the same since they are merged. I feel like e-mailing either XM or Sirius and asking them what the deal is. -mmccul

I am going to email and see what the response is. Hopefully I don't get some automated general answer.
