This is my experience as a State Certified Lemon Law Arbitrator...

After market or secondary market providers come and go...

If you're going to buy a extended warranty, insist it's through your vehicles manufacturer. Lots of Dealers will also offer or steer you to aftermarket provider because it is more profitable for them.

Any franchised dealer should be able to sell you a manufacturer extended warranty... the price does vary... so shop around.

My brother bought one for his new Honda Odyssey. He got a great deal on the car from one Dealer and a Great Deal on the Warranty from another Dealer. So far he's even in terms of cost vs. repairs. Lots of things that can go wrong on new cars.

No one I've advised to buy a Manufacturer's Extended warranty has regretted it... Basically, you are paying for peace of mind should a problem arise...

Don't buy the warranty if you plan on trading your car within the factory warranty time frame.

WHAT? You didn't buy Birkenstocks with the proceeds? (Just kidding; sounds like you did the right thing!)

Do you please know if there is a way to turn the alarm off manualy? Thank you for your advise.

PM sent. I have worked with all sorts of ext warr. companies for years at a very high line vehicle dealership. I recommended to you the best one that I've worked with, besides the mfr. backed ones.
