I was always a fan of the big Olds 98s and 88s... but I loved those older big Mercs and Lincolns with the hideaways... I know that GM offered hideaways on the 68 and 69 Caprice as an option but seems as if the full size Pontiac (perhaps the grand prix) also had hideaways a couple years)....

Yep, its a 455, dark blue with woodgrain. Woodgrain was optional.

They did... it was a Plymouth Satellite Regent wagon... it changed over the years as the seasons went on.

Yeah, they had a Chevy Caprice, but it was a convertible. They had a blue Impala convertible in 1972, then for 73-74, it was a red Caprice convertible. Before that it was a blue Fury (season 1) and a blue Barracuda (season 2).

Speaking of the Caprice Kingswood Estate... thats actually what I have now as well... its a 1972. Brown w/woodgrain, black interior, 3-seats (9-passenger).

Thats right. My old 1969 Caprice 4dr hardtop had factory hide-away headlights. Very rare on the sedans. Even some of the Caprice wagons had them.
