Truck gets washed maybe twice a year and Might have been waxed once.

I laugh the time/effort people go through so their vehicles are all shiny. Especially when it is going to rain or there is still snow/salt on the roads.

Its only a vehicle and most don't keep them long enough to realize the amount of $$$ they spend keeping it shiny. A vehicle is but mobile bling to some.

I wouldn't call it mobile bling as much as pride in my possession. Same as a house, I power wash it, mow the lawn, keep it neat and tidy inside and out. Is that something to laugh at because my house is shiny too? I guess I don't understand the need to keep some things clean and neat versus others. Just put a little effort and keep everything on the same level has always been my deal. Why pay hard earned money for something you are just going to let go to ish.

My company car I take to a full service tunnel type car wash. I usually buy the mid level service, runs less than 20 bucks.
My personal truck, I was at home with bucket, soap, and hose.
I only use my pressure washer to clean the house, driveway, and the mud covered ATVs and Dirt bikes.

Just let that industrial fallout and acid rain drops etch your clearcoat for you, good choice.

Now if you have time and nergy and with all the money you saved, fix your driveway. That what I did.

My local self wash station charges way too much. $2.25 for like 2 minutes, it's up before I just pressure rinse 1/2 of the car.

Can't go wrong with a garden hose and a good soap. My car isn't nice enough to go waterless.

nice to see so many do it on their own, but my theory is if you're perusing the automotive forum, you're generally a car-caring lover like me.
