One thing to point out is that seeing the list of best looking cars, many of them cost megabucks- not so the DS.

As for comparing the DS with an Aztek, as you say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Well THAT figures...anybody who uses a "u" in words like "favorite" and color MUST like ugly French cars! Sorry, Jezer, couldn't resist! Actually, the DS WAS a rather beautiful automobile in its' own way. And technologically waaay ahead of it's time. While we 'Mericans were hooked on horsepower and speed back then, the French concentrated on sophisticated technology and style....

Yeah, a hot little French nun one would like to convert to paganism if you know what I mean.

I also have a habit of dropping the "h" in pheasant, but I love old Citroens and even the occasional American car. Sorry CrewChief, couldn't resist.

I've taken a Citroen with hydropneumatic suspension down a disused rail track, over fields seven up and through floods where other cars would have had trouble. And we were comfortable at the same time.

Ugly, pretty, indifferent ...whichever you feel.

The Citroen (especially this one) is unmistakable! A classic in the sense of uniqueness.
Just like a mid 60's Mustang...Love or hate it, you must admire it for its staying power.

Personally, I think it's cool. If anyone has a problem with it, it's their problem, not yours. Cheers!

The DS dates back to when Citroens were not merely weird for the sake of weird, but outrageous for the sake of looking as super-advanced and otherworldly as the underpinnings were at the time. Put it next to a '55 Ford and the Citroen is 30 years ahead. Hydraulically controlled manual transmission and clutch? Inboard, power front disc brakes? Fully independent pneumatic air suspension? In 1955?

I was actually pulled over by a friend who was following my Citroen in another car because he'd seen that I had a flat rear tyre and I didn't even feel it.

Just found these-
