Just like no domestic car can touch the Vette, I predict the same with the Camaro.

Have you considered the new C6 Corvette? 430 HP and over 400 Flbs of torque is not too shabby and the prices start in the mid 40's. If not, the Dodge would be a good choice a long with the stang. Stay away from the Mazda because they're a pos and will be nothing but headaches and probably won't start when you really need it. GM is offering discounts for credit union members and the military too.

I would go with a '96 Impala SS!

Big, safe, cheap to operate, fun, collectable & going up in value, easy to mod, comradery, clubs, forums, car shows, room for the whole family, etc, etc, etc.

Where to start....

1. It's genius
2. There's speculation of a 500+ hp Camaro to compete with the GT500
3. Of course GM is going to make the Corvette faster than the SS Camaro

#3 admittedly muddies the water for a prospective 500+ hp Camaro. I'm not sure that GM would want any Camaro to be faster than the base Corvette, even if they would sell at similar price points.

If you say so, but other grammatical errors lead me to believe otherwise.

You can't "guarantee" that GM will do anything. You can speculate all day long, but you're just guessing. There's nothing wrong with having an opinion, so long as you don't posture your guess as fact. In my opinion, you're doing a lot of posturing.
