Leave it alone....motor oil, tranny fluid, and the like will evaporate eventually.

I had a car with a bad leak that made a mess on my concrete driveway...a couple of years later you can't tell it ever happened...

I agree with kitty litter. I own a gas station and get a lot of different spills, kitty litter is what we use. Just put a bunch down until it is soaked in, then put some more until you no longer see black let it sit half hour then clean it up. Next day put some more on the black spot and smush it with your foot, it will look calky and then sweep it up. Spot all gone. Do not use the Clumpy stuff ( the stuff that clumps when cats pee on it) use the regular stuff that looks like rocks.

Why are you so concerned about this anyway? Let the asphalt absorb it.

Well it is obvious you do not work with this **** on a daily bases. If he does not absorb it every time it rains it will come to the surface. That is the little cute rainbow affect you see after it rains on a spill. Suck up the spill it takes little time and effort and you will be happier that you did.

Belinda_Cooperstone1,
I fully agree and I am much happier getting most of that large black ugly oil spill up in front of my home.

The street is stained? And that's a problem?!?

Life today is WAY too easy. People used to worry about prarie fires, cholera, Indian attacks, coal mine cave-ins, seeing half your children die before reaching the age of five----now we worry about stained streets?

Christ, at one time the steets WERE dirt, now some jasper is bent out of shape because the street is dirty. Our society cannot last.

It is not the fact it is dirty it is the fact WHAT it is dirty with. I see you are not a supporter of Green Earth?

I expect the Earth to support me. I notice this "green" thing is an excuse for all kinds of screwball behavior including neo-Paganism and viewing scrubbing the street as being virtuous rather than OCD.
